Ambode picks new HoS, appoints Adekunle Gold’s father, others PS
The Governor of Lagos State , Mr Akinwunmi Ambode , on Sunday confirmed the appointment of Mr Hakeem Muri - Okunola as the new Head of Service in the state .
He also appointed six new Permanent Secretaries , including Adekunle Gold ’ s father , Adeyemi Kosoko.
Ambode ’ s Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna , said in a statement on Sunday that the governor appointed Muri -Okunola to replace Mrs Folasade Adesoye , who retired on December 27 , 2018 , after 35 years of public service .
Until his new appointment , Muri -Okunola was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Social Development .
He had previously served as the Executive Secretary , Land Use and Allocation Committee between 2005 and 2011 .
Ambode , according to the statement , thanked the outgoing HoS , Adesoye “ for her meritorious service to the state and wished her well in her future endeavours . ”
Other newly - appointed Permanent Secretaries were identified as Dr Goncalves Fausat, Dr Balogun Bolajoko , Mr Adeniji Olufemi , Mrs Adelaja Omobolanle and Dr Lawal Temidayo .
“ The new Head of Service and the Permanent Secretaries would be sworn in on Monday , December 31 , 2018 ( today ) at the Lagos House, Alausa , Ikeja , ” the statement added .
